I'm now living on a small island in the tropics and my choices include internet sources such as Amazon, or "take one, leave one" shelves at the local restaurants. The shelves are fun because you get to see what everyone in the community is reading. Now that I think about the way we share books around here, I guess its an informal island book club!

Occasionally I will purchase online from Barnes & Noble and Wal-Mart.

Those shelves sound like a cool idea! I've run into little free libraries around here that have the same policy. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything in them I really wanted to read.
