Not yet. I have this habit of listening passively and then my mind starts to steer away from it. Eventually I find that I have missed out on a lot of the content.

I tried the audio book thing, and I found that the voice of the narrator mucked with my visualization of the character's voices, and I just cannot handle it. So I stay away from audio books and stick to just either ebooks or physical copies of books.

Audiobooks are interesting but it is not for me. It just does not feel the same way. I have a short attention span when people are speaking to me, and audiobooks do feel the same way.

I haven't yet converted to audio books. But I am thinking of. I am planning to hear audio books in my first language.

I tried a while ago but I didn't vibe with it as much as with books. Maybe one day it will finally rub off on me though.

No. Never. There is something about reading a book - looking at the words on the page and completely investing in it. But I am also a very strong reader. My friends prefer the audio books because they are not a fan of actually reading.

Audiobooks are great!
I personally prefer the written format, reading boo ktrasitionaply. But audibooks are great while multi-tasking. I usually listen to some audiobooks of some classics while doing menial tasks at home, something that doesn't require too much thinking. I listen to them even on my walks, when waiting in lines, etc.
I finished Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde like that. Now I am listening to Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë.
It takes time but it's interesting and different.

I want to incorporate audio books into my lifestyle. It is better to keep it going audio or visual. Just keep reading.

No, I haven't and won't because I can't hear well since that my place is noisy.

I understand content more when I view it

No, I have trouble listening in a lecture hall. I don't think I would manage with audio books.

For me, it's been hard to really get behind and support audio books since you can sort of zone-out while listening. Physically reading, you have to move your eyes and pay some sort of attention while you scan the pages.

Audiobooks are great if you are the type of person who doesn't have time to read a book, but i personally prefer to be able to feel and see the progress i have made. A physical book is a personal accomplishment i can set on my shelf and say, yeah i read all those books.

Audio books enabled me to read some books I wouldn't normally have had the time to read and they still offer an incredibly immersive and valuable experience. Why are you not reading it out loud you you can envision the words on the page and it still elicits the same emotion so I don't think it's really cheating but I think it is a valuable and efficient way to consume literature.

I haven't tried audio books yet because I really love reading. I might try one though because these days. I have poetry audio books and the first time I listened to them, I can't understand them. I'd rather read poetry than listen. But that's just me.
