Do You Remove Book Jackets?

I love dust jackets. I count them as a free book mark since I usually use the loose flaps to keep my place. Plus, they look nice and help distinguish the book on my shelf when I'm in the mood to read it again.

I take them off while I'm reading, but I put them back on when I'm done. I like to have them on when the books are on the shelves!

Certain books I remove the book jackets such as those that were used. But first editions I try to keep the jacket on. So as to preserve the cover.

I will remove the dust jacket when reading a hardcover book, or I will use it as a book mark. I never throw them away, and sadly some books are actually plain without the dusk jacket, I like to keep the cover imagery.

I keep it on always. I can't stand smudges or anything on the hard cover, so I view the jacket as a protector. I'm usually snacking while reading

I always keep the cover, but sometimes when I'm reading I take the cover off and set it aside. When I'm ready to put the book back, I always replace it.

I usually remove the jacket while I'm actively reading the book. Once I'm done, the jacket goes back on. I'm too much of a nitpicker to throw the jacket away.

Aaah... Never! I can not even imagine doing it. Sometimes they tend to get tore up though, even if I am handling it gently. Well that probably just means that I have to be more careful.

I keep it on until it falls off or starts getting ripped from being tossed around in bags and backpacks.

I do this too. I technically paid for it too, so I might as well just put it to use.
