Do you carry a list?

Post by CaitCupcake »

Sorry if this has already been posted but i couldnt see anything like it.

Do you carry around a list of books you'd like to buy? For example if you start a new series do you write down the rest of the series so you know what to look for when shopping?

Or maybe you keep a list of what you already own to avoid double ups.

I have a little notebook in my bag full of books that i want to buy, especially helpful when I'm surrounded by books and don't quite remember the title.

I do. I often find myself in used book stores and a list is essential. I like giving books a second chance at being loved.

No. As I buy most of my books online, I don't need one either.

Sort of. The pocket inside my Kindle cover is stuffed with Post-It notes scribbled with book titles that I want to download. Whenever I hear about an interesting book, I write the title on a Post-It and into the Kindle cover it goes! It's not the most organized way to keep a list, but it's been working for me so far! :)

No list. It's sad but when there aren't a lot of reviews I just go based off of the cover. I like pretty shinny things! :P

Yes. From series I need further books in, to books I just want to look into, I love having that list to reference :D

I do sometimes. If I come across a book I really want to read but can't read it at the time I will write it down and the list quickly grows that way especially if I am perusing the book section while grocery shopping.

Every time I go to a particular second hand book store, I spot titles that seem interesting enough to buy for the next time I'm in. If I remember them, then I buy otherwise I feel I'd be overloaded if I kept a written lists :/

I have a list, but I read almost solely e-books so I keep it next to my chair.

I don't carry a written list with me no. However, before this site I was a huge fan of Goodreads. Whenever I saw a book I wanted or needed to read it was added to my "to read" list. Whenever I went into a store or sat down online to buy a book I would break out the list, browse the through not only my list but what's hot with others as well.

@onewhothinks I use good reads in addition to this site.

Yes, especially if I am in a library. Though I sometimes just pop open Goodreads and look at my to-read list or something like that, but generally I have a list on my phone or written down on a piece of paper.

I like Goodreads as well especially the recommendation system, it certainly helps my to-read list grow
