Haha I agree! Sometimes the need to know if a particular character is ok will tempt me, but I have to be strong!

Yes, I do when the story gets so dull and monotonous that I could predict its end. I just jump to the last page and finish the book.

I've never done that. I think I would lose interest in reading the whole story if I already knew how it ended.

No way! I prefer the agony of not knowing what is going to be the end of the story.

I have been known to skip to the last page depending on the book. In the past, I used to read the very last sentence when I first started a book. However, I found myself running into quite a few spoilers, and stopped after a while. If a book gets me curious enough, though, I will skip to the end sometimes!

I don't. Skipping to the last page gives you an idea as to where you'll end up, and I personally think that doing this kills the thrill of my journey.

No! I have a lot of friends who do this but I don't get why... It could ruin the whole experience.

It's a never ever for me ha ha :lol2: Even if the middle of the book is boring as hell, I drag myself through it. I can possibly skip a page here and there, though but not all the way to the end. If the book is totally unbearable, many a time I just quit reading it at the point in the middle of the book. Those are rare occurrences though. I usually make it to the end. I enjoy reading.

I absolutely never ever skip to the ending to read the last page. I just can't do it! I have some books from years ago that I still haven't finished (just haven't been interested), but I can't get myself to just skip through it! I think reading is all about either enjoying or suffering through the journey 😂

I've done this before, but I'm one of those people who don't get bothered by spoilers. Plus, most of the time the scene is too out of context for me to understand.

Only to see how many pages a book has, never to see how it ends. I would feel too guilty or be upset/ disappointed in myself for looking ahead.

I've done this quite a few times. I was so scared the ending was gonna be sad and heartbreaking that I spoiled myself with how it ended 😅

I remember when I was a kid, I used to treat myself to the last line in a book when it was getting particularly tense, just to make sure things turned out okay. But now, I don't want any spoilers at all! I won't even read the description on the back of the book. I just jump in and let the book take me where it wants me

I have never done that to be honest. I don't see the point really, it's like skipping to the end of a song, or a movie, or the last day of your vacation. It's the journey that counts, not merely arriving to your destination. :wink2:

I don't skip to the last page while reading. I know people who say that sometimes reading the last sentence can make you curious and force you to read the rest of the book. I never have a hard time finishing a book once I start, so I don't tend to skip ahead.
