Also I don't think I'd fancy my dentist to have a book in her hand while working on my molars and if I were in surgery I'd like to have the surgeons' full attention .... and definitely I wouldn't want the anesthesiologist to be lost in a good book.

LOL!Fran wrote:I would suggest that while driving is not a good time to be reading - also if you happen to be in bomb disposal!

I wouldn't want the person that helps school children cross the street holding the stop sign for in coming traffic to be reading. You'd either end up waiting forever while s/he turns the page before s/he looks up and notices there are no more kids crossing or... well let's not think of the alternative.

I have actually seen someone holding a paperback book against her steering wheel during rush hour! It made me nervous being around her.Fran wrote:I would suggest that while driving is not a good time to be reading - also if you happen to be in bomb disposal!

I also would recommend not reading while on the job like Fran stated, I wouldn't fancy my GYN holding a book in her hand or something.

I have books and I have the a reading app so I can read on the go. I love books and will for the rest of my life and I will be a famous writer soon.

Ditto, I can't stop myself sometimes and the next day I have to backtrack ha habluemel4 wrote:For me it is when I am half asleep, but I insist that I am awake enough to read. What ends up happening is I fall asleep cuddling the book. My husband has found me many times sleeping with a book in hand.
