Is writing getting more personal than general?

I think writing is becoming more personal because most authors find it easier to write from their own life experiences and draw lessons from that to share with people who relate to their stories.

That is an interesting question. There seems to be more books about peoples lives, biography’s written in third person, than there used to be. Maybe it has something to do with all of the “influencers.”. People are no longer afraid to tell the world about their lives; the age of reality TV; let me hang my laundry out for all to see. We are all a bit sideways these days, why not write a book about it?

I think it's possibly because well-known people and influencers are getting better at promoting their books. The internet has made it easy for anyone to sell themselves and their writing o the world. So you think more personal stories are being published, but in fact there are millions of other"non-personal" stories that are published every week that you are not made aware of.

I think so too. People are increasingly sharing their personal perspectives in books. Books that used to seem formal, rigid, and distant now feel closer to the reader. Perhaps this is the impact of changing times?
