No, but I do read out loud if a line or paragraph stands out to me.

It depends on what I'm reading. If the book is a page-turner, then I don't need to move my mouth because my eyes and brain are already flying to finish it, and reading it out loud or whispering will take more time. If the book were challenging, then I more often than not find myself mouthing the words, reading them out loud or even dramatically enunciating them as if I were in front of a live audience. Grad school would do that to you :shifty:

I don't move my mouth because I read much faster than I talk. That would really slow me down.

The only time I will do this is if I'm reading a scientific paper. I find my mind wanders too easily and reading it half out loud really helps me to focus on what I'm reading. When it comes to pretty much everything else though I'm interested enough to be able to enjoy it completely in my head.

I tend to move my mouth and at times whisper when I read. I don't always notice when I am doing it, but I have become more aware that when there are other noises around me it happens more frequently. I will do it on purpose if I am reading something that I am trying to remember. I realize that reading aloud helps me retain whatever it is I am reading.

When I'm really deep into reading, I read completely in my head.

However, when I'm editing or having a hard time focusing, it helps me to begin reading out loud to get back in focus.

I don't usually read in front of people because it's very distracting for me... You know what people say, 'One's true self is shown when they're alone' I don't only move my mouth when I read. I sometimes read out loud, even voice acting the story.

Most of the time I do not mouth the words I am reading, however, if I hit a passage that doesn't seem to make sense, or there is some dialogue I don't seem to "get" I'll go back and read it slower and I may mouth the words, or in the case of dialogue, read it out loud. (I would just mouth it if people are around though.) I think it happens more when I am tired.

Definitely not. I have seen some people do so and me and my friends usually laugh at such people.... You know just like friends do....for no apparent reason :D :D
