At first I thought that was a funny question. Then I realized that yes, I do read text aloud when I'm proofreading, unsure of how a word is pronounced, or don't comprehend what I'm reading. Hearing myself makes me focus.

I always read when I'm eating alone so, on those occasions, yes. Otherwise, no.

Sometimes I do find myself reading out loud quietly. I think its because I want to make sure I'm actually reading what I just saw. I usually do it when I come across something written so well or something written poorly. It seems to help also when I'm rereading drafts and want to make sure there are no errors.

I don't think I move my mouth when I read. I know I will gasp, cry or laugh pretty often. Or I will talk to the characters. It drives my husband crazy. Let's say a character does something wrong, I will yell, "WHY DID YOU DO THAT?! WHY! WHY!" I have scared my husband before with my outbursts.

I very rarely move my mouth when I read - the only time I do it is if there is a lot of background noise and I am trying to concentrate. I find that when this is the case though my concentration is usually doomed anyway

The only time I move my mouth when I read is when something is hard to understand, or there is a lot of distractions going on around me. It would definitely slow me down to have to mouth every single word!

I only read whispering to myself if I am reading a Bible or legal contract. They are quite difficult to comprehend compared to other reading materials.Normally, I read quietly.

Normally I don't, but when I don't clearly grasp what I'm reading, I repeat loudly or moving my mouth. I do also when I'm reading what I've written.

I sometimes do that when i can't understand what i'm reading, or if i really wanted to remember that part of the book. It's sort of a more effective way to get what the author wanted to express.

I don't usually but I do it when I notice that I'm losing focus and my minds wondering off - so to get my head back in that space I want it, read aloud/ whisper depending on where I am.
