I sometimes read in a car or a bus especially if its a long drive, but most of the time I get car sick and cant focus. I'd prefer reading somewhere quiet and with minimal distractions.

I cannot read while in a car, but I can listen to audiobooks. I use to drive 45 mins to and from work, so I could listen to a lot of books while driving.

I'm never without books or my Kindle, so I'm reading when I'm not driving.

I constantly do that, but everybody tells me I should stop it because it makes eye sight bad. However no idea, if it is true, or not.

Reading is the perfect thing to do in the car. Whether its an audiobook, or maybe reading a book while in traffic, it is a perfect way to lose yourself after a stressful day of work.

I WISH I could read on long car trips! It would be a great way to pass the time. Unfortunately, it makes me carsick.

If the car is driving down a straight road with no hills at a constant speed, I can read for hours. As soon as the car changes speed or directions in anyway, I'm done. Headache, nausea, you get the picture.

When I still rode the bus to school I had no problem reading a book to and from school. We were the first pick up/last drop off most of the time, so I had plenty of time to read. Typically I can read in the car, but ever getting pregnant my stomach isn't what it used to be. I still try to read, but like most of the other posters, I can only read for short stints before I need to take a break and let my head/stomach settle. I have heard that this is caused by your eyes trying to follow the small print, which is constantly moving due to vibrations and typical road bumps. I usually elect to drive to avoid the nausea, which means I control the music. :) I love music almost as much as I love books, so win-win!

Reading in the car is the best! I love how quickly it passes the time. I can't listen to audio books though. I just zone out and get caught up in how the audio book narrator pronounces the characters' names differently than how I mentally pronounce them haha

I also tend to get motion sickness while reading in a car, however on a plane ride I can easily make a dent in a book. I know quite a few people that take motion sickness medication just so they can read in the car, haven't tried it myself yet.
