I understand. I only read in vehicles that have a good constant source of light. Seeing flashing lights on my pages gets me nauseous really easily. However, after I got my kindle, it seemed to have gotten easier because of the backlight.

I would love to be able to read in the car when I am a passenger, but I also get extremely car sick from it. I never really got into audiobooks, but I definitely should with all the driving I do.

I listen mostly to audiobooks but reading is a no no for me.

I actually don't like it that much. I get car sick when I focus on books for long. Something weird if you ask me. Either way, I'm fine reading away from the vehicle, lol.

when you live in a country like mine where there are lots of potholes on the road, reading in a vehicle is virtually impossible. the only time I ever read in a vehicle is when I am on a stretch of road that is smooth.

Reading in a car ride is unbearable. You start to get headaches from trying to focus on the words while the car moves. I prefer just to watch something while in a car.
A process cannot be understood by stopping it. Understanding must move with the flow of the process, must join it and flow with it.

The only person who can sympathize with and understand you, is you. So, be good to yourself.

It can be quite frustrating to read while on bumpy roads but still helps with escapism from the monotone.

I cannot read while travelling in a car, because like a lot of people here,I get extremely car sick. Same goes for buses. But it's very comfortable to read in trains and airplanes. Since trains and airplanes don't make us move all around,it's easy to focus and not get a headache.

I wish I could, but I get motion sickness very easily on any mode of transport :(

If I am not driving, I might listen to an audiobook though which is a nice alternative... I haven't tried listening to one on a plane yet though.

I love reading on a bus or train. But my body cannot accept the idea of reading in a car. I get car sick.

I can't really read on a long bus ride because I get motion sickness, but in the car I'm fine so I love reading when I'm traveling, if there is no sickness.

I can never, it gives me a headache so bad. I have never been carsick before but it definitely strains my eyes because I can't properly focus.

Reading in the car over a long distance journey is so sweet. It kills the boredom of long travels

I can, for short periods of time. I usually read books that require a lot of thinking, so I can balance sightseeing and reading.
