I keep by favorite. Top shelf is just one-time read and would read again if i had time. Middle shelf is my all-time favorite and I'd re-read always. Bottom shelf, hmmm..... I'll read if I'm bored

My bookshelf is basically organized by interest. The books I find interesting are kind-of placed next to each other as the uninteresting books are together.

I usually arranged them by series. If not in a series, by author.

Considering my limited shelf space, I don't have any order. I just try to fit them in wherever they can.

Not really that organized. Most of those books are in "Want to Read" category.

Mine is organized by subject or genre, with books from a same series placed together. It's not as neat as I would like it to be, but that's because I don't have enough space anymore, so some of the books are randomly placed where they fit.

Years ago, it was simply alphabetical. Then it went to have-read, alphabetical and not-read, alphabetical. Then it got divided again while I was in college. College books and regular books, still have-read, alphabetical and have-not read, alphabetical in each respective group. Then I arranged the college books in varying fashions: by courses, according to when I took the class, etc. But, sometimes this was very problematic because if I had a book that I used in two classes that were two years apart, I didn't know what to do. I then switched back to college books and regular books, have read and have not read, arranged alphabetically. Now my shelf is fairly disorganized but still kind of divided between college and non-college. Then, there's the issues of first editions and collectible books? I kinda gave up.

They are all lined up by series and by author and I always try to have them standing upright. Then I have a whole shelf that consists solely of books in Spanish, and another couple of shelves with books that I read when I was a lot younger.

My shelves are organized alphabetically by author. I don't have them grouped by genre or anything like that.

My shelves are organized first by the author. After by genre, among authors and book colour and size. So, I have the same authors together and next to its same genre and similar covers. Then, I have books organized by their publisher because I usually not by just for the author name, so sometimes I buy a lot of books from the same publisher.

I desperately need to organize my bookshelf. So many different genres, authors, etc. It's chaos. Beautiful chaos.

I have different ideas for almost every shelf. Mostly I organize them by series and authors, of course. But I also have a shelf for the "want to read" books, and one with the idea of something like school, education or cultural basis/fundemantal knowledge.

I used to organize my bookshelf by book color, but it became hard to find a book easily. Now I organize using the genre and it's more effective.
