I keep all of my bookshelves fairly organized- alphabetical and by genre. Because I have a lot of books and my shelves are scattered throughout the house, I find it easier to find things this way.

It depends what you mean by organised. Usually from the tallest book down to the smallest and if possible, all the books from the same author are kept together.

My book shelf is pretty much a constant hot mess. I found a casket-style bookshelf that I want my husband to build for me. :) He totally would, but I think he is afraid that I'll place it right in the living room haha.

My book shelf is about as organized as my thoughts. Which is little to none.

I just put them on the shelf and whatever fits, fits. If I had to organize them though I would probably do it by author (I use to work in a library and alphabetizing is forever ingrained in me) or I would organize by color possibly. Maybe that sounds a little silly but I follow a lot of book lovers on instagram who post pictures of their shelves and the organization through color just looks stunning!

My books USED to be organised. Hardcovers and paperbacks by last name and my shelf of ARCs were arranged like a rainbow. However, now my bookshelf has no more space and everything is cramped and just goes wherever it fits. I'm eager to get myself a new bookshelf.
My weekend is all booked!

Sir/Madam,

My bookshelf is in good "working" order! Cookbooks and fitness books, on top, religious and diet, on the bottom. I know, the pairings do not make sense.

My only Sarah Strohmeyer novel has not found a home on my bookshelf yet. I keep her novel by my bed...shhhh...

I organize my library by the genre of the books, fictional books on a shelf, non-fiction books on another shelf. I also organize them by the books I read and the ones I still didn't read.

I have some of my classics all in one section. These are the ones that I am "proud" to own and read. Most of the others are thrown in willy-nilly. I try to keep at least the authors around each other, but, this doesn't always happen.

No organization whatsoever...! But if I really want to read it soon, I will bump it to the top of the list.
