I am guessing aside from the kids books that I own, that "1984", "Animal Farm" or "Down and Out in Paris and London" would most likely be the skinniest and the shortest as well.

"Being There" Jerzy Kosinski

This book has the distinction, for me, of being a good book that was made into an even better movie with Peter Sellers.

I think mine is Gilgamesh. It's supposed to be an epic but I'm not really sure if it's the full text. I also had William Shakespeare's Hamlet, pretty thin. And Paulo Coelho's By the River Piedra I sat Down and Wept.

Mine would be 12 Ways To Be A Blessing To Your Church, by Kate McVeigh. It is more about gift-giving than religion. It is a really cute book!

The Strange Library by Haruki Murakami. Very short story too, like of a children's book. I wished it was longer.

Bill Bryson's African Diary, at a whopping 49 pages in length. It's a nice book with lots of great photos, and proceeds of the book go to CARE International.

I think the thinnest I have is Anthem by Ayn Rand. I had to read it for 10th grade English. I did not like how the book portrayed women.

The richest man in Babylon is the thinnest book I own. Even though it is thin, there are so many values contained in it. Everyone should read it to get a basic financial literacy.

Probably Bridget Jones’ Guide To Life by Helen Fielding. It’s pretty small.
