Do errors bother you?

If the errors are very minute, it doesn't as long as they aren't littered throughout the book. If a book made it out to print, there should be as few of these errors as possible. Sometimes, the editors can slack off the book will just look meh to me.

I have read many reviews in this site and many of them often complain about grammatical or spelling mistakes. As for me i usually overlook these mistakes unless there are some really big ones.

YES! They really do. For some reason they really stick out to me and it bumps the book down a few notches.

Spelling errors in books really bother me. I really don't understand how a book gets published with spelling errors in it. Don't editors check books for spelling before they get published

If I read for myself and book is good I usually don´t perceive errors. It is something about functionig of brain. But if I read out loud I am bothered by errors very much.

I can brush off little errors but when the errors become too much in one book, I can't stand it.

Yes, errors do bother me. Any book reads smoother when it's written with little or no errors.

Minor typos I can live with, but what DOES annoy me is when there are factual errors that have slipped by. For instance I once read a book where it was clearly stated that the heroine's daughter was at boarding school, but only a couple of chapters later there was reference to her coming home for tea - and I double-checked, there was nothing in the narrative to justify it.

Errors really do bother me but if the book is exceptional then I could atleast forgive them. I was surprised when I found errors while reading Harry Potter. I just didn't think that a bestselling author should have even one . And as someone said above, factual errors are also really irritating. The story does not have to be real but it should still be real enough for its own world and factual enough to be believable

They annoy me, but if there not to bad I just read over them.

If there are only a few minor errors I can usually overlook them. Things like bad spelling or using the wrong characters name multiple times really irritates me though. That's the main downfall to being able to self publish I think. A lot of people probably don't spend nearly as much time proofreading as they should.

Yes if there are too many it breaks the flow of the story.

If there are only a few errors I can usually deal with it, however, if there are a lot it bothers me and makes it hard to want to read more.
