Hello!

I have lately fallen victim of absent-minded reading.
Dear readers community I require your generous help with the matter.

I find myself finishing pages without really reading them. I have to go back to where my train of thought started to wander, and I have to read a couple of pages all over again

This lack of concentration may be because of how busy life has been lately for my family.
In university I had a 100 things going on at the same time as well, but I found that reading was the only thing I could focus on!
So this is new to me šŸ˜…

So, please, anyone who has been through this before and managed to overcome it,
Help me!
Thank you in advance :tiphat:

You have to read when you mind is settled on the book you want to read, I am a re reader that don't want to miss anything where reading. I focus on the book , if my mind wanders, I put the book down, when I am done with my line of thought, I will pick the book again and continue reading till I finish.
If you are having a bad day, let people see that you are having a good day...Spread good vibes, people are going through a lot already. :tiphat:

I also hate reading something and then realizing I have not taken the information in. We need to concentrate when we read, but sometimes our minds wander off if we are stressed. I find, if I try to read when I am distracted, then I will not be able to focus properly ,nor recall when I have read.

When that starts happening to me, I usually have to walk away for a couple hours or find a quieter setting.

This also sometimes happens to me sometimes but I realize it after a page and then go back. I would recommend concentrating on imagining the scene play out. Iā€™ve come to realize that if I use my imagination and ā€œseeā€ what Iā€™m reading it stops my mind from wandering elsewhere. I hope that helps.

I've been in this situation for a few times and I have to go back to where I lost track and reread.

Yea, this also happens with my reading. Especially with boring parts.
