How many books do you read a week

Post by JessiAnne26 »

How many people have full time jobs but still manage to read more than a book a week? how many books altogether do people who have full time jobs, and spouses, and children (or pets to look after) read per week?

Yeah, I am glad if I can finish a book a week, but this is not always the case... I work from home and not always 8 hours a day...

Depends on the week and the book ... some weeks 2/3 other weeks might not get more that a few chapters read

Likewise! Some weeks 2-3 books, other weeks one. It depends on my time, the book, its length, the language.

It really all depends on how fast I read through a particular book it could be 1 up to 3. :)

It all depends on how fast I read. Usually I get through one book, but if its a short one I can read through two or three in a week.

Hmm, maybe 2-3 a week. I try and find books with 300+ pages just so I have something to carry around for a bit.

It usually depends on how long the books are. I usually average a book a week, though. Sometimes if they are shorter books I can do 2 in a week, but it really depends on length.

I've actually taken to keeping a count and I am close to a book per day/day and a half! I also have two jobs but reading is something that I need to make time for. It's definitely where most of my free time is spent. Since May 10th(ish), I have read just about twenty books. The only time my number really deviates is when I find a book I can't put down and when that happens I reread that specific book a couple of times.

I only have a part-time job outside our home. So I am able to read 1 book a week on most weeks. But lately I have read a few that I love. I have averaged 2-3 per week. I have also watched less tv because of it. Win. Win.

I used to be able to read a book in 2 or 3 days, but now it takes me almost two weeks sometimes..

To be fair, I read a lot of internet articles and fanfiction, so I'm sure the word count is high enough to count for a book a week or so...

I have been out of the habit of reading for a while, but I recently got the urge to really get back into it. My goal is 1 book a week to start out with. How likely this is going to be I don't know since I have 2 kids, the youngest being 8 months old, as well as a 1-year old Chocolate Lab. Needless to say, they all keep me pretty busy, but I want to try to make a habit of getting some reading in during any free time that I possibly have.
