Sure! Not every book I read is riveting- some aren't even that good but I'm still interested in what happens. Some books are so darn descriptive and I'm only in the mood for the action. Or, like you said, some books are TOO good to waste on the in-between bits. My mom reads the last chapter before starting a book, while I purposefully put off reading an ending by starting a new book because I don't want to say good bye to the characters. To each their own. :)

I experience this. I skip some paragraphs or even pages of books especially when it's not so interesting.

I never skip a full page. If I start to feel that the event or scene being described is irrelevant to the plot then I quickly skim through a few paragraphs and pick up where it gets interesting again. I do this for most books except those that I have to review.

If there is an explicit scene, I might skip it. Also, when a scene is too embarrassing, I will skip it, but I will go back and read it.

I have to admit, I do, though not generally through disapproval but either because I'm impatient or in a hurry or both. Often (though not always) I do go back to re-read, at least scan-read, especially if I realise something hasn't become clear.

No because, once a pick a book to read I believe that I must thoroughly read and understand it. That is when you can later give a good judgement of the book.

I guess it's just the state of the mind at that particular time, and the nature of the book...

I don't skip pages while reading a book. I even read it over and over again.

I have never skipped pages while reading. I prefer to read everything even if it gets boring.

I have done this very rarely, but it has happened few times with some free Kindle romance books, some of them have been written so badly that I just wanted to finish it and move on.
