Do you skip pages while reading a book?

Sometimes I find myself reading a little of the next page, but I never skip pages. In my mind, it's an insult to the author, and it detracts from the overall story.

I really like to read the whole story and not miss anything that may be important to the plot. However, I have done this with one or two books where the story seems to be going slow so I will skip a page or two. I feel the story can get better later, so I don't necessarily stop reading it all together.

I try not to but sometimes I find myself looking ahead because I can't stand to wait to find out what happens. Even then, I come back and continue where I stopped reading though.

I never do this. I find it really annoying and disrespectful to the author. I mean she/he has spent so much time just getting each page right (even is they didn't manage to), so if I am reading the book, I should read all of it. But if it's not that good, then I should just stop reading it altogether.

I only skip if I'm finding what I'm reading boring or repetitive. If I do skip, I do it in paragraph segments, not whole pages.

Never fiction books. Sometimes history or non-fiction if its something that dosent interest me.

I don't recall ever skipping pages in a book. In fact, I'm more likely to reread pages. If I feel like I want to skip pages, I usually just put it back on the shelf.

Actually, I read a lot of books and I when I suspect something cliche is about to happen then I read the lines fast but not thoroughly.

I do not like to skip pages. I cannot imagine doing so unless it is so bad that I have chosen to not finish the book, but I am invested enough to want to know the ending.

I read every single word cover to cover if I am reading a book or magazine for pleasure. I speed read textbooks, internet articles, etc.

Whenever I have a book for review, I will even read the copyright pages and everything after the text. But if it's just for fun, I might not bother with even author's notes.
