I never dogear pages. I hate it when others dogear my pages, so I leave a bookmark IF I lend my books.

When I was really young I used to, mainly because I saw it in movies, but soon it began to irk me because the pages were perpetually creased, so I stopped.

Dog earring pages on books is extremely annoying. I don't want to do anything to my books to make them shabby. I like to keep my pages nice and crisp. I have a little freak out if I accidently rip a page.

I must admit that I have done this but I try not too. Usually I stick little scraps of paper between the pages. I have been given lovely bookmarks as gifts but for some reason I have trouble keeping track of them.

Only on paperback, never hardcover or trade paperbacks. Actually come to think of it, not even with paperbacks. :)

I have once or twice. Only when I've had absolutely nothing to use as a book mark. The crease drives me nuts afterwards though, so I started writing down the page or putting the page number in my phone.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'm very picky about the book being in almost perfect condition. Books I borrow from the library get scanned before they are read and all dog-eared pages are unfolded.

I use to as a kid, like many others who have answered, but as I have gotten older, I have stopped that completely.

No. Just no. I was a very serious rule following kid, so when the librarian said not to do that, I listened. As an adult I started eating while I read, which is another no no according to my elementary school librarian, but the not dogearing the pages stuck with me.

I will use almost anything within reach to mark my place. Receipts, yarn, coupons, wrappers, (clean) sock, Kleenex, ANYTHING that'll hold my place. I don't care for dog earring, but have when I've had nothing to mark my page.

No...never. I think if I leant a book to somebody who did this I would be furious. I always use a bookmark, envelope, something to mark my pages.

Bookmark definitely. I like the new book feel. I'm weird lol but I hate damaging the pages by folding the corners. I don't flatten out my book either to make it easier to read because I don't like how the spine looks after.

:D I do dogear pages, always have and always will. It makes it feel like my book that way! I do use a bookmark for borrowed books, I am not an animal! Part of the reason I like a real book is that I dogear.
