No! No! A thousand times no! Not only do I not do it to my own books, I don't like to see other people do it to their books

What a travesty! Never ever nor do I crack my book spines or write in my books. All my books look new even after I've read them numerous times. It's such a pwt peeve of mine that I'm hesitant to lend out books because not everyone care about such things and it kills me to see my books being abused.

I used to it mostly when I was a child and teenager, but would not dream of doing it now!

No, I never do this and I hate when someone else does :) I think it is harmful to a book, it looks like a mess. I always have a nice bookmark instead. I also don't like when people read books and leave them opened so that they would not loose the page. I somehow feel that books feel uncomfortanle in such pose :D

Ahhh no never!! Dogearring should be against the law!! Hahaha

I use whatever I can find around to mark my page. I have used receipts, scrap papers, wrappers, anything. Anything that can mark the page and is clean so it does not leave a mark on my precious books. :P :D

I always use book markers or a piece of paper. I saw a cute ideal on a craft page where you cut the corner of a large card envelope. You can decorate the corner and then slip it over the top corner of your book page to mark your spot.

I used to dog ear pages and I never understood why so many people are set against it, the page always goes back to normal after a while unless the book has really thick pages. I tend to use a bookmark now these days but if I don't have a bookmark then I will still dog ear a page without feeling guilty. :P

I have never dog eared the pages. I was taught in school that it damages the book. I've always used a bookmark or whatever I can find.

I remember as a teen being disciplined time after time because I would fold the corner in to save my place! My parents would get so frustrated! But I did it for a reason. I lost my bookmark every single time I took it out of my book! Then I would dog-ear the page and my dad would holler!

I think I've made pterodactyl sounds when I've found bent corners in the second hand books I buy. My roommates like to laugh at me with the way I coddle my books.

I dogear pages just because it seems I can never seem to find a bookmark when I need one. If I use a bookmark, which is rare, it ends up being a random slip of paper or a store receipt.
