I really really REALLY try not to! I am good at finding anything to use as a bookmark but sometimes I will fold the corner just a smidge without thinking and then curse myself for doing so. I don't like wearing down my books. I would rather just try to remember the page I am on, but sometimes that dogear happens. Oh well, readers make mistakes. haha

No, I always use a bookmark or just remember the page because I hate to damage books in any way.

I've dogeared pages until I started reading books that had yellowed pages (from aging). These books would literally fall apart whenever I did it, so I began to use bookmarks. It just became a habit to have a scrap of paper, index card, etc. in my books to preserve the book pages.

Absolutely not, it's too damaging to the pages.

Oh my no!!!!!! I have a bunch of bookmarks but usually grab whatever is closest at the moment. Currently, I'm using a Bank of America credit card offer from the stack of junk mail. No interest for 21 months. ?

To be honest, I have dog-eared some of my books when I was younger. But thank god I grew up and started using bookmarks.

No, dear gods no. Not unless I literally cannot find anything else. And please don't do this to library books. They take enough of a beating as it is. :P

Nope. Nuh-uh. Never. That's book-blasphemy. I don't really mind seeing damaged books because usually it just means they're well-loved, but dog-earing pages just seems like such a waste of a good book. I mean, there's tons of cute book marks, or if you don't have any, just grab the nearest thing: papers, pens, spoons, hell, use a limb if you don't have anything else.

I never dogear my pages. Bookmarks, an envelop, or a small piece of paper are what I use to mark my place. When the pages don't lay flat I find it annoying, and try to keep my books as pristine as I can.
