Do you dogear pages as a book marker?

No and hate it when my friends do it to my books and I also don't like when the pages on the left are folded under so the book looks like it has only the right side.

I will in my notebooks but I will not do it in my reading books. Who wants to pick up a book with creases all in the pages.

No i do not because I want to preserve my books for a long time. Dogearing them makes them get older faster.

I’ve always used a bookmarked. At my school you could buy really cool ones at the school store for like a quarter so it’s never been a problem im which I had to dog eared pages.

I don't. I rarely use bookmarks too. I tend to stop (if I can) between chapters so I'll remember it more easily.

It's funny to see how reverent everyone is about books. I never dog-ear either, but worse than dog-earring is folding back pages at the spine when reading a paperback.

Yes, bookmarks are too easy to lose and fall out of books.

It depends. If I am going to use the book as a reference later, I will dogear the page in a pinch. I prefer to use bookmarks and page flags, though.

No, I'd rather just find a makeshift bookmark such as a store receipt to put in between pages.

Admittedly, I dogear pages a great deal. To be quite honest, I feel like it's a good thing to physically insert your highlighted points, your favorite quotes, or your questions on a copy of your book. Of course, some books are too treasured or too frail to write in, but I don't think its a disservice to make notes in a book if you're really engrossed in it.

Now,I'm sure by saying that, no one here would dare to lend me any of their books, but that's okay! haha

Never. It's sacrilege to bend a book page. I just use a bookmark.

Yes, I always do that even though it damages the book. it's easier for me to find the part I was reading, even the exact line can be mark by dogearing.

Oh, my! No! Like you, though, I did that as a young child. But now I am very protective of my books. Some of them I don't even loan out because I don't trust people with them.
