Oh I loved doing this! For anyone with an interest in reading great Chinese novels, I highly recommend Jin Yong's wuxia stories. I learned how to read traditional Chinese (the characters, not the grammar) in the vertical right-to-left style through his novels, which are fantastically plotty, full of adventure and great characters and romance. I always thought it was a pity that his books aren't translated into English - I'd love to see more people enjoying them!

I enjoy reading in French sometimes, it helps me to pick up phrases and keeps me in touch with the language

I haven't yet, but I plan to start reading some in French, which I took in high school and college. I would like to continue learning French and love to read so I figured it is a great idea!

Lol I am already reading in foreign language. I am from Turkey and I learn English as a foreign language. I also want to learn French, we'll see what happens.
I love reading in English by the way.

Reading in a foreign language is so exhausting to me! I live in Japan, so I have to read some things just about every day, but today I thought I was going to die from the stress I had to go through just reading a single A4page filled with a billion Japanese characters.

Ah, no, I can only read in English. I can only read, speak, and write in English. I took an Italian class for two years, but not much of it stuck with me. I want to learn to speak and read it well someday though. That and German, and maybe even French, so maybe someday!

I used to have to read Afrikaans books for school, the language is nice but of course at that time I found it very difficult to read.

I read a lot of books in French, and am currently taking a French literature course. It is very frustrating for me because of how slow I read French, but I learn a lot whenever I do.

In high school I read La Casa de Bernarda Alba and struggled immensely. I don't think reading in any language other than English is good for me.

Yep, I'm trying to get through "The Divine Comedy" by Dante. I do speak a bit of Italian but mainly the words I do understand, I understand them because they're so close to French (which is my native tongue). But it's a bit difficult cause it was written so long ago. Oh well, I'll read the Italian version first, then the translation to fill in the gaps.
