I usually only read books in English. When I was in high school I took three years of Spanish and still remember some words. If I see something in Spanish I do try to read it but I know my translations are not perfect.

I am Russian, born and raised. I learned English when I came to America and oddly enough English is now my dominant language. But once in a while I will read Russian books. And for some reason I just can't lose myself in books that are in Russian. Lately, I have developed an obsession with Japanese. I have tried to learn the language on my own using the internet. I find it more fun to read children's books in Japanese than reading Russian.

I love Gilmore Girls! \(^_^)/ I feel like I can relate to the book smelling and living in a library thing.
Good luck!

I read mostly in English, although I do also read in French and Spanish, some of the easier books, so that way I can get a firmer hold on my language skills.

I read my books in English.

I wish they had Vietnamese versions of books at Barnes & Noble.

I have tried to read books in Spanish since I took enough Spanish classes while I was in school so that I had to read books in Spanish for school but my Spanish never got good enough so I could really appreciate the stories. I love to immerse myself in books that I'm reading and it just wasn't possible to do when I was reading the stories in Spanish. It does seem to be a good way to learn the language better though but I think for me, taking a class in Spanish speaking would be a better way to learn.

I'd love to be able to read books in French and Japanese, but then I'd have to really go for it, and I don't think I'll be able to invest that much of myself in learning the languages before I give up.
English is a foreign language for me, and I prefer it over my own due to the narrow selection when your country's entire population is about five million.

Unfortunately, I can only read in English. I took Italian for two years and German for one, so I'd like to be able to read in those languages. It'd be interesting to buy a book in either language and see if I can figure it out.

I used to try reading in French to improve my French speaking but I gave up on that a long time ago.

No I cannot. Since reading is supposed to be for fun I would prefer to read in English to make it easier even if I did know a foreign language.

I can only read books that are mixed. For example if the main story is in English but a few Russian words are used here and there then it's easy to read. I can't read a book that is totally in another language other than English Kiswahili and Arabic

No apart from English and my local languages, how I wish I could at least read in French.
