Most books you've read in a week

Post by Shellby85 »

Curious to know the most books you have read in one week?
I read the whole twilight series in one week then started on a new book
This was about 5 years ago now and only had one child then!
Now I'm lucky to finish one book in a week

I can finish a book in 1-2 days, if I have the time.

I've finished 4 books in a week before, but they were well below 500 pages each.

I was addicted to reading romance novels. My local library has a free book exchange which made it very convenient to get free paperbacks that people donated. I would sometimes come home with up to two plastic grocery bags of Harlequins and Historical. I would zip through those books within a week! I am talking about anywhere from 15 to 20 books!

It depends on how much I am working. I can usually finish a book of about 430 pages in a day or a little more, if I am interested in the topic. I read at least 3 books a week, even when I am working full time, as well as some magazines. This is why I want to get paid to read. :)

When I was in High School I was able to read up to 8 books a week. I just could not stop reading. I would read a book a day and at times a bit more. Now I'm lucky to get to finish a book in a day with college and work. I would love to get back to reading that much, however, I don't see that in my future any time soon.

On average I can finish 2 -3 books in a week, depends on how busy my schedule is. A while back when I was laid up, recovering from a foot surgery, I went on a binge of reading 8 books in a week, ranging from 200 - 500 pages. I was down for three months and think my reading total was somewhere around 75 books.
Some of my happiest moments are when lost within the pages of a book!

I'm not a fast reader - my answer to this would be 2.

But that is very rare - nearly always takes me longer than a week just to read 1.

I look for free ebooks everywhere I can find them, and generally read one or two a day. I don't watch movies or television, so reading is my go to. I can usually read 8-10 books a week, (including novels). That's why I decided reviewing would be a good idea. :)

Before I had kids I'd easily read a book a day on beach holidays. I remember reading Gone With the Wind in a day as well! I do read very quickly and if I get really gripped by a book I have to keep reading. I've always been able to tune out the world around me and just read. It's not so clever now my daughter is the same way and she never hears me yelling at her!
