Happy!!! I actually sometimes have a hard time not knocking books down stars on Amazon for sad endings. Life is hard enough as it is - I don't need help being sad!

Happy of course but if there is going to be a follow on book i like a bit of suspense at the end of the first so you are eager to read the next

Happy and satisfactory of course. I have enough sadness in real life...

When I was younger I used to read a lot of books like the ones that Mary Jane Holmes wrote . . . about orphans with sad stuff going on all the time. Now that I've been through my own sad stuff in life though I prefer to stay on the light side. I like a book with humor in it and I like books that end well. I like to read for entertainment and to keep my mind off of my problems. I stopped reading Stephen King books because of how hopeless the last book of his that I read ended. I like to read books that inspire me and keep me going and give me hope that things might be better in the future.

I like reading romance novels so the ending is usually happy, but I have read a few that have sad endings and they fit with the story being told so I was okay with them as well.

I am fine with either as long as it feels right, not a forced happy or sad ending.

I like endings that fit the book. I hate when I get to the last chapter and the author ties it all up too quickly with a neat little bow.

I prefer happy endings, but there are some books where a sad ending is just a better fit. I like to come away from a book with a positive feeling and I usually have a hard time feeling that when a book ends on a sad note.

I am a real sucker for happy endings. I love it when the bad guys or gals get what's coming to them and the good guys get their just rewards.
