It honestly depends on the book I just finished reading, what I'm doing in life, etc.

If I'm reading a series I'll read one after the other, no time to waste. If I just finished a book that had a huge impact on me I need time to mourn the fact that it's over, or I'll reread it right then.

For me it also depends on how much I liked the book, but in a different way. If I really liked the book and it affected me in a big way or made my emotions spin out of control then I usually have to wait before I can pick up another book. Now if the book I was reading has a sequel or another book in the series and I thought it was really good then I won't even stop for lunch before continuing the story line. If I really didn't like a book then I usually won't pickup another one for a day or two or I will re-read a book I already know I love lol.

If the book I just finished was part of a series, I move to the next book right away. Normally I try to find my next book right away. I have only ever waited if the book I just finished impacted me greatly.

I've always read multiple books at the same time. Doing so helps me to absorb the impact of what is happening in various plot lines. So I don't wait at all. When selecting a new thing I let it happen organically, even if I have a stack of books waiting.

I have a waiting list of books I am going to read at this time I think I have about 20 books on my list. I also have about 5 books
pre-ordered just waiting for their release.

I start immediately after I finish a book. I usually have a couple I'm reading at the same time.

There is usually very little to no delay in-between finishing one book and starting another for me. In fact, there have been some occasions on a simple 45 minute bus ride where I finish the book in the middle of the trip and don't even wait to start a new one.

For me it depends. I usually wait a day after I finish a book just to let it sink in. But after becoming a mother, I have less time for reading so sometimes I have to wait 2 or 3 weeks before I have the chance to start a new book.

Immediately! Finishing a book gives me a bit of a high and I can't wait to find another book to get addicted to.

I usually have a couple of books waiting in the wings; so I pretty much start another book right away...especially if I really didn't like the last book I read. Maybe I should get out more

I start reading a new book immediately after finishing one. I am a "serial reader". I usually have 2 or 3 books going at a time, but since I joined up here, I've only been reading one at a time.
