Depends on the book. If it is part of a series and I liked it, I'll move to the next one immediately. Even in case of standalone books I sometimes jump to the next book very quickly. This happens more in those cases where I already have a few interesting books lined up for reading. On the other hand, if the previous book was thought - provoking, it generally takes me a few days to ponder over them.

It depends on both my mood and how good of an experience I had reading my last book. Usually, if the book was good, I'm ready to jump right into another book for a new adventure. However, sometimes I have to take a break from reading and do other things.

If the last book was a heavy read I like to sit back and let my mind finish digesting it. If it was blah, I'm usually off to another one.

I never get through my "too read" list, so I always start a new book as soon as I finish one.

I think it would depend on the book I just finished. Sometimes they can get a bit crazy, and I would think about what I read for a few days, then start another book.

Assuming I have a new book available, I take just enough time to get a fresh beverage. :D

For me, it depends on how tired my eyes are and how long I have been reading. I can't read as well as I used to. I still enjoy reading, but it's difficult with my vision (double and nystagmus). If I can I start reading a new book, but usually by the time I finish a book I need a break.

I usually jump into a new book right away but life does tend to get in the way sometimes. I have eleven books at the moment waiting for me to read. When the family is busy, every time I walk by the books I hear them calling my name.

I could start the exact same day I finished the book. The quicker the better, especially because I rarely find time to read with my busy schedule. So, in the summer, I read as much as I humanly can.

I always have a book or two (or ten) on reserve or new in my kindle but when I start a new one depends on how much work, chores, errands, etc., I didn't get done while I was lost in the last book I read. I usually switch off between books on my kindle, printed books and audio books too, so if I've finished listening to an audio book, I will have worked and got more things done so I can start a new one right away.

Yes, this!

And lately, I keep starting new books without finishing others, so I have 5 or 6 books that I've just started, am in the middle of, or close to finishing. I've never had this problem before. So, I'm just going to pile them up and read one at a time.

After I finish reading a book I like to mull the story around in my mind. Reflect back on what happened in the book, why I liked it and how the story made me feel. If it's a series, I'll decide if I want to read the next book or if I don't care to continue with it. If I enjoyed the author I might seek out other books written by him or her. Sometimes I have a list of books waiting to be read and decide which is going to be next. But I always wait a few days to a week to start my next book.

I always like to have the next book on hand, waiting until I finish the current read.

I don't like to wait more than a few days, to begin the next book.
