I never used to but I had a friend who said at any given time she had up to 30 books on the go. I just couldn't understand that but decided to try reading more than one, so I started 7 different books. It was actually a real cool experience! Whenever I sat down to read, I asked myself what I was in the mood for. It worked pretty well except for the two books I left until the end. I could barely remember what happened and had to start them over. But I'm no longer scared to have more than one book on the go!

I have asked myself this question as well. Me personally i cannot read more than one book. Sometimes i will read one book in one series, finish that, then switch to another series and go back and forth between the 2 series. If the series is good then i will finish the series before switching. If i don't care for the series I won't continue it and just leave it at the one book i read.

I try not to read more than 4! But I have done that. I'm not sure why but I am able to jump right back into where I left off without becoming confused. I think I purposely try to read books that are not that similar so as to avoid confusion.

How many books do you read at once?
I have read 7 for pleasure at once and 1 or 2 for school besides that. For when I have a lot of books that sound really good and I just can't decide which one to read first.

I'm usually dedicated to reading one at a time for leisure, but browse through magazines and such along the way or passages in the Bible. After seeing other people read more than one, I may try it based on mood.

I typically read 2-3 books at a time but they are usually from different genres. I switch from them depending on how much time I have and the mood that I am in. I read text books in the mornings when I feel like I need to get through some heavy material. When I am waiting somewhere in the afternoons, I'll get through a chapter or two in a nonfiction book. I wind down with a fiction before bed. I guess I always have books open around me that I eventually get through! I don't really like to read two fictions at the same time, I would want to finish the first one before starting the next.

I can't read more than one book at a time. I begin to get the plots and characters confused. I like to dedicate all my time to one book and really engross myaelf in it

I like to give the book my full attention so I usually read one at a time. My sister can read multiple books at a time. I would just rather have a list that I would work through one at a time. I feel like I will complete the book faster that way.

When I was in school, I would have one book at school and one book at home. Sometimes I would even have a third book in my purse at work. But as I ha e gotten older, I tend to only read one book at a time. I find I enjoy it more.

I really prefer only one at a time. I try to stay with one, but sometimes I end up with 2 or 3.
