I'm glad I'm not the only one who wanted to make a list, or needed to, of the books they own. I'm not done counting, but I've stopped for tonight and I'm at 547! Never realized how vast my collection was until I started creating this list. That's just my physical books... if we went digital it would be in the thousands! Can't help it when you love books.

Physical books or ebooks? On my shelves are about 350, can I just say I love thrift stores and used bookstores!, not counting cookbooks and textbooks. My kindle has another 300 or so. The rest of my reading came from libraries and kindle unlimited. My to read that I haven't been able to get my hands on is still another couple hundred sadly. One day I hope to find a better stocked library or an amazing thrift store. So far, I've been lucky enough to try multitudes of authors I would otherwise never touch thanks to $2 bag sales so I don't feel guilty wasting my money if I find I don't like a few of the books. If they turn out well, I have to go try to find everything else they've written and tell all my friends to make up for $.10 used books.

Do you only count physical books? I may have one hundred physical books . However I own two e-readers which both have over a thousand books apiece.

I don't know exactly, I never counted them but I have around 150+ in my house, most of them are my father's though but I own around 30+ and I'm buying more lately.

I only have about 50 books. Although I would love to keep them all, I have really transitioned to digital and there are so many new books all the time, I know most of my books will never get reread. I love to share books with others so I give the ones I recommend most to friends. My aunt and I, between the two of us, had about 30 storage containers full of books that we recently donated to a local book store. I can't imagine how many I would have if I bought and kept every one I ever read or planned to read. My husband on the other hand wants every book in a beautiful hardback copy displayed on his bookshelf. Fortunately he has only managed to accumulate two bookshelves full of books. I had to cut him off of Amazon! Reading can be an expensive hobby unless you know where to go for free copies or unlimited monthly access. I am a huge fan of Kindle Unlimited and my local library's Cloud Reader.

I, honestly, have lost count now. I am a hoarder. Particularly, of books.

Does that include the ones I have 'lent' out and given to charity to make space on the shelves for more? I do try and pass on the one I don't think I will read again and I don't like clutter so I do this regularly. I also beleive in sharings them so others get the benefit of them. But.... my all time favorites and my special reference books that I hold onto dearly. If I had to put a number on it, right now probably about 250, excluding said 'loaned out' books so let's triple that! :D :D :D

I have no clue...hundreds for sure...maybe around 1,000. The problem is that my husband and I are world travelers who move to a new country every year. This means that my library is spread out a bit, unfortunately. I've got loads of books being housed by family in the States, a good many being cared for by friends in Paris and a couple hundred currently with me in Colombia. Someday, my goal is to get my library all in one place!
