I have always been a bookworm, so to speak. I love reading. I always have. And I buy books like crazy. All summer I will browse flea markets, book stores, online and buy what I call my "winter books". I then spend the next year reading them. And throughout the year my local library sells books for a dime.
On top of that I have been in college obtaining my degrees so I kept all my books.
So I have acquired a ton of books throughout my life. I catalog all my books and on my last update I had around 2000. But I have boxes and boxes still packed away due to lack of space. I never get rid of my books because I like to reread them.

Wow ... I thought *I* was bad. lol. I have upwards of 500, I think. I keep meaning to sit down and catalog them. It's amazing, but I rarely find myself purchasing a book that I already own although it does happen occasionally.

I actually want to reduce the amount of physical stuff that I own. I am trying to put everything onto my kindle but it doesn't always work out, so I own about 200 physical books, maybe more.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wanted to make a list, or needed to, of the books they own. I'm not done counting, but I've stopped for tonight and I'm at 547! Never realized how vast my collection was until I started creating this list. That's just my physical books... if we went digital it would be in the thousands! Can't help it when you love books.

Physical books or ebooks? On my shelves are about 350, can I just say I love thrift stores and used bookstores!, not counting cookbooks and textbooks. My kindle has another 300 or so. The rest of my reading came from libraries and kindle unlimited. My to read that I haven't been able to get my hands on is still another couple hundred sadly. One day I hope to find a better stocked library or an amazing thrift store. So far, I've been lucky enough to try multitudes of authors I would otherwise never touch thanks to $2 bag sales so I don't feel guilty wasting my money if I find I don't like a few of the books. If they turn out well, I have to go try to find everything else they've written and tell all my friends to make up for $.10 used books.
