The public library is walking distance from me, but the nearest free little library is a good 20 min. drive away. I guess that I will stick with the public library.

We have one at my gym. I noticed it one day when I was walking around. I've always seen the ideas of them on tumblr, that's why I was so shocked to see one in public. It's jug a medium sized bookshelf with a ton of books in it. (More older books rather than newer) but I still love the idea! I think it's great to share books, especially the ones you love.

It so strange - there is one right next to my house (literarly seven minuites away) - Me, my my sister and my cousins stumbled across it one day when were taking a walk and it was raining so we needed shelter. It's quite big and really beautiful with cozy seats and lots of amazing books. But i've never been back. Maybe because the lady on duty looked at us funny because she could tell we had just come in their for shelter

There's none in my area or around me but I always wish they exist, I don't mind having one in the near future.

There are several in our area, including some in people's front yards. We also have free little pantries in our area. People put canned and boxed foods (small ones). People take what they need. And donate when they can.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

No, but I wish I had one in front of my house! I get Twitter tweets about littlefreelibrary.org and think they are all so cute!

Are there stores where I may purchase one? Better yet, I ought to just give a tweet. Blonde moment. LOL

My university library has a pretty good selection. I really should spend more time reading books from there!

Besides our public library, there is a free book shelf inside the library at the community college here. I probably wouldn't even know about it, except that I went to school there.

I could never find any books there that interested me, but it's still nice to know that it is there.

There is a library about 2.5 km from where i live. Which is part of Public library that is down in the city center. Which is about 7 km from where i live.

I have never been inside it. Its been years since i have been inside a library as i never rent books i prefer to buy and own them. I have been in the main public library in the city center but that was years ago. I think i was still in high school.

We used to have a mock mini library at work. It was a shelf in the ladies restroom. They were mostly just romance novels. But occasionally a newer suspense or mystery novel would get put on the pile.

We have two that I know of. There's one at a Dairy Queen in downtown, and one at the elementary school my son goes to.

There is nothing like that in my area. I also don't think there will be such a thing anytime soon. My country has a huge crime problem, anything left lying around disappears pretty fast.
