However - and this is of far greater importance! - there IS a limit of 15 items that can have holds/reserves on them at any one time. I regularly max this out!

I just checked and apparently my library doesn't have a limit on books, but a limit of 10 on CDs and DVDs.

I don't have this problem now. I mostly do digital so I can immediately return one when I finish it and replace it with something else. Sometimes what I want may not be available so if it's a series I might have 2 or 3 at a time but I don't like to have a book that I am not currently reading which keeps someone else from having access to it. There are times I am watching the countdown until the days a book becomes available again, so I don't want to be unnecessarily greedy.
