I do not ever judge a book by the cover. I would pick up a book with a appealing cover, but if it does not intreats me I will put it back. A lot of the time I will pick up books based off of they r tittles rather than a cover unless it is for a book challenge.

I have found that if a cover on the front of the books looks pretty cool than for the most part it is a good read. Sometimes when you see a man and woman on the front of the cover depending on how they are posed you kind of have a general idea of how the book is going to end and what's the point in reading it then? So yes, I would say I do find that the cover of a book makes all the difference.

I try not to, but it has to be said some are stupendously awful. I once read one where Our Heroine was a redhead but the front cover picture showed a blonde!

Yes I do most of the time but sometimes I get disappointed with the story line after reading some few pages of the book.

No i don't,the cover might be very pleasing but this might be a way of getting people to read books that have poor storyline, so i tend to read the preview first .

Mostly yes, and the title too but once I find the inside boring I'll have to stop, but that rarely happens because I like a lot of themes/genres.

No, I don't judge a book by its cover. I quickly go to the preface or back cover to know whether it's interesting or not.

I love beautiful covers and in best scenario they convey what the book is all about. I guess it's less important to me with e-books, and of course I have found amazing content behind atrocious cover and vice versa. In the end it's still an art form and part of the reading experience I guess.

I usually tell other people that I never judge a book by the cover. Is that really a bad thing though? My favorite color is purple and a majority of the time, if a book's cover is purple, I'll end up reading it. I really don't understand the negative stigma surrounding this topic.

No, I am the type to read the back of a book before I pass my judgment on weither or not I am going to read it. If I like the back I usually read the first 2-3 pages of the first chapter. If I can't put it down then I usually buy it.

Absolutely. The cover alone won't make me read the book but it will draw me to it so I will read the synopsis. If the cover doesn't catch my attention, I'm not even going to bother to find out what it's about. The cover artist is a very important person!

For me, covers are like a person's looks. If I like the cover, I look deeper, if it completely turns me off, I keep going and hope to find something better. If I can't infer anything about the book except that the main character is some Victorian lady or something, I don't bother even reading the back cover. However, add a werewolf or an explosion in the back, something that screams paranormal or thriller, and I have to see if there might be something good hidden behind the front cover.

Oh, how I'd love to deny it but I can't. While I don't usually turn a book down because of its cover, I have picked a book up because of a cool cover many times.
