Yes. I usually have a book anyway but I'm extra careful for places like the Doctor's office where I KNOW I will have to wait a while.

Depends on if I know the doctor or not. If I know they will see me right away, (e.g, my family doctor), I don't bring one. If I'm seeing someone new and don't know the wait times, I bring a book.

I take my current book everywhere! I never know when I'll have a few minutes to kill.

I'm pretty much the same way just wish when I did start reading it I didn't get interrupted by what I originally had to do.

If I can help it yes! I always carry a book with me where ever I go. One time I went to the doctor's office on short notice and I was so happy to have the latest book by Jim Gaffigan with me. I would have gone insane without it.

I have to take several people to the doctor at times so bringing my nook along is a blessing. I have found that it helps to pass the time while waiting and I am not exposing myself to the germs that doctor's offices are brimming with. More than once I have watched people who read the magazines left in the waiting room and have seen them get sick within 7 to 10 days. Not cool, so I avoid touching any of that stuff while I am there.

Of course, I'd rather read a book than watch news on the tv.

I rather choose to forgot bring my cellphone than my book. Wherever I go, I must bring a book at least an e-book... and I'll be okay in every situation

YES! I read especially when they give me shots, because I hate shots with a passion, and don't like going to the doctor's because of that.

Of course, I take a book with me to keep me busy while I wait. I read any free time and anywhere.

Yes, because I end up stuck in the waiting room for 40 minutes to an hour, almost every single time.

Plus, the only other time I get to read is before bedtime. So I can make good progress, in the doctor's office.

Always, always. I always have a bag I can slip a book into, or my kindle. I read in the bus, in waiting rooms (far better than tacky old magazines). I have even been known to read in a bank queue (a very long one) and definitely when waiting for car licences, passports, tax etc where you can sit for a day. I watch everyone else staring into space and wonder what they are thinking about.

Always! I find I get less irritated about them running late if I am busy reading a good book.
