I would cry.

Then, would have to go through the trouble of getting a credit card (which I do not believe in using unless pre-paid) to buy books on-line.

How about today's children who do not have a computer at home and rely on the library's?

I might resort to doing something less than legal ;D
But really, I would protest as well, bring to attention the importance of a library in a community. If that still didn't work, I think that there are enough avid readers out there to make some sort of trading/sharing system, which would be difficult but it would still be something.

Cry. My library has been a huge source of the books I read.

The world would come to an end.
I agree, the world would end. I would also cry a lot and try to get them to keep from closing. Having all the libraries being forced to close is a terrible terrible thought.

I will try to do what you said. We really need libraries.

I would protest if libraries were forced to close. Maybe I will turn into an activist and do whatever I could.

I would never let that happen. But currently that's what happening right now due to the pandemic. It's been more than 3 months since the library that I normally go to, has been closed. And it's been really hard and I miss the place. But it's just temporary and I hope it re-opens as soon as possible.
