The science section (not for people who actually know about science - I'm talking about science for dummies, stuff with lots of pictures, that kind of thing). I don't have that kind of book at home, and I wouldn't normally buy them, but it's fun to browse through them on a quiet afternoon.

The last time I was in a library was in my undergrad uni and the section I always head to first is the Fiction area. They are way more interesting than academic/textbooks.

I head to the Recent Arrivals! I love finding shiny new books that look super awesome. After that, I head to Adult Fiction.

I head straight to Fiction and then Classics from there to History. I usually search online before for what I want. Helps me to short list my next reads.

Quite embarrassing, but I head over to the Young Adult section. I'm in my early 30's so thank goodness, I still look like I'm in my early 20s!

I usually head right for the non-fiction section to try and find something I like. If I can't find anything that lights my fire in that section I'll head towards general adult fiction and just browse until something strikes me.

Most of the time though, I don't even have time to browse around the library, I just put something on hold and run in and pick it up.

Usually, when I go to the library, I have a list with me of the books that I want and if I see any of them, I will take it. So, I go to the sections according to that. However, 90% of my books are in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy section, as that’s my favourite genre, so that’s the section I head to first.

usually i go for the nonfiction portion first, and then depending on if my daughter is with me then I will take her to the children's section.. More often than not, I already know which book I am going to pick up before I go to the library
