Do you picture actors in your mind when you read?

When the author offers a description for a character my mind usually looks for an actor or a person that looks like that and that's how I picture them. If I've seen the movie/show before reading the book I usually end up picturing them as the actors they cast, unless I disagree entirely with their casting choice, which has happened before.

Not really. When the character is described physically, I try imagining it in my head, but it's usually kind of blurry.

Yes. I can't help it. Especially since I watch a lot of movies and read a lot of novels so they'll always find common ground in the characters.

Yes, I picture of Chris Evans and Rege-Jean Page when I'm reading of a historical romance where main male characters are hot guys.

Which is why I avoid movies that are made from books I've read. I get disappointed every time.

No..not at all. I prefer not to. I conjure up an image in my mind on the basis of the description of the character. Actors dont do for me. Lol

I usually try to read a book before I go and see the movie adaptation. That means that I already have a vision in my mind of the characters that doesn't match the actors.

No I do not. I always imagine them the way are described in a book, unless I have watched the movie.

All the time. I picture absolutely everything that I read. I think that’s part of why I feel movies ruin a lot of good books.

I do picture actors a lot when reading, mostly based on people I have seen before in life or the author's description.

No, I don't picture actually but when I read, I usually have a visual image playing in my head of the characters.

I definitely do!!!! It just makes the novel more real to me. Unfortunately when the novel is made into a movie I'm normally disappointed by who was chosen for the role, lol. My wife and I are reading a series The Black Dagger Brotherhood, by J.R Ward and we constantly discussing which actor will be a match for which character. I'm sad to say that if they ever decide to make a movie or a series of these books, we most probably be extremely dissappointed.

Yes. Often times, i will look on YouTube to see if someone has created a video with their dream cast of a book. It helps me visualize better.

I try to picture the character by how the author describes them. I do not always agree with who they choose to play parts in the movies that are based on books. This is because, they never look like what I pictured.

Sometimes I do, mainly at the beginning. Or with people I know. Then, when I get more information about the characters, the faces get changing and adapting to them.
