How long can you spend in a bookstore at one time?

Post by lyla_ibrahim »

Honestly, for me, I could stay in a bookstore for 5 hours max. Especially those kinds of bookstores with cafes that sells drinks and we can stay there to read books.

How about you? What is your average time spent in a bookstore?

I could stay for hours in the bookstore or the library. However, I prefer to read at home.

Many hours! Especially if they have a coffee house section where I can enjoy my book while drinking a coffee!

I could (and have) spend hours in a bookstore or library. I tend to get carried away, wandering through all the aisles to discover new books.

Great question! I could spend hours walking around in a bookstore. They are magical places to me, you never know what great book you'll stumble upon. I think it is even better when there's a cafe attached but I would go just for the coffee as I also prefer to read at home in a nice quiet, well-lit corner.

Would that be with or without food and water ?

I love to read, and could spend hours at a book store looking for books to read. However, I try not to because I will walk away with a 20 page list of books I want to read. I already have a 2 page list I am trying to get through. :D

I haven't been in a bookstore or a library for as long as I can remember. I can spend countless hours checking out the latest books, and seeing what other creative authors offer to the reading public. Even though it wouldn't count to this particular topic, but just by browsing Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, Kobo, etc, I would buy and download all books if possible.

I can spend hours and hours in the bookstore but I try not too. The boyfriend HATES going (hes not a reader), and if I stay too long, I might buy too much, haha.

The longest I've spent in a bookstore was probably about five hours, but on average I usually spend an hour and a half to two hours in there.

I can spend hours in the book store, especially if I'm trying to pick a new book to read and just can't decide on one or two of the books I like. I will go back in forth between the aisles until I settle on the books I want.

I don't go to bookstores that often but I do enjoy it when I do - browsing the different sections, the smells, imagining if I lived in one......yes, i could spend hours even days!
But, bookstores can be expensive so I do prefer to get my books through the library. Thankfully, my girls have swim practice 5 nights a week and it is in the same community center as the library!

Considering I use to work at a bookstore, I use to spend 8 hours plus in them. I usually go to bookstores when I have some extra time to kill and I just browse but I usually just check for books on my list cause if I stay in there for too long then I spend too much money!!!
