If it's a used bookstore, I could stay forever, seriously. But it has to be used or some kind of thrift store with a large book section. I refuse to pay brand name bookstore prices (and frankly, I can't afford it).

I could probably spend forever in a bookstore, I get lost in there for hours. When I go shopping for books it's less of a quick errand and more of an all day kind of trip.

I can spend hours in the bookstore at one time specially if there's a coffee shop around.

I love books and bookstores. I could spend hours at a time. Unfortunately I usually go with my husband. He isn't an avid reader. He doesn't like to go. So I don't usually spend that long.

I could probably stay forever and never get bored, but I'm usually rushed so 2-3 hours.

I could spend all day in a bookstore, ask my husband, it drives him nuts. :). I love going to bookstores and walking through the aisles.

All day and all night. Especially if it is a Barnes and Noble with a café in it.

I'm pretty sure I could stay in a book store the entire day. I don't generally get bored there and I have been known on occasion to read books in the aisles. I don't know if it's frowned upon or not, but I've never gotten yelled at for it and made significant progress through a number of books in the past.

I don't spend a lot of time in bookstores these days, though I think it might be more than I did when I was in college, simply on account of the fact that I always tend to spend way too much money when I do.

I'm guessing about five hours. Depends on a shop.

I have spent many hours in bookstores. I used to go to them with my brother, while he read gaming magazines I would check out the graphic novels, classics, new arrivals, and young adult fantasy books. The smell of books and all the options of books to buy is so thrilling. Its also fun to get a coffee and just sit and read for a bit, test drive a book.

I will answer for a library. The longest time I have spent in a library is nine hours, right from when they opened to when they closed. I would not risk, 24 hour libraries due to the temptation to just move in there with my stuff.

How many hours in a day?
Seriously, until an assistant asks me for the second time if they can help me. That's when I know they're really asking me what I'm doing there.
That's where a second hand bookshop or the library are better.

If it has a coffee nook with sandwiches and muffins? And I would have bottomless wallet? I'd be there when they open the doors and they'd have to sweep me out the door when they'd close for the night...
