My parents had always read to me when I was little so I always had a love for reading but the book that got me completely hooked on reading was Harry Potter. I remember staying up all night reading the first one. Thankfully it has turned into such a huge franchise that there are still books/movies coming out so I can still get my fix.

I don't remember the first few books I read, but I do remember loving to read the Magic Tree House Series. I was so excited when my sister began to read them too.

A Series of Unfortunate Events! I think I was around 10. I got it for my birthday and was a little upset because who would want a book? But once I started, I couldn't put it down and asked for the rest of the series for subsequent Christmases and birthdays. Couldn't stop reading after that :)

I had always enjoyed books, going back to my toddler years when my parents would read me bedtime stories. But, the first time I remember really embracing reading as a hobby was in the 3rd grade. My best friend turned me on to Nancy Drew books. I felt very grown-up because they were the first chapter books I had ever read. There was no turning back after that.

I kind of have 2 answers for this. The first time I began reading avidly was when I discovered Harry Potter from one of my classmates. I think that was Year 4. But I kind of don't count that because it was Harry Potter :). The second time was when we started our English literature course in GCSEs and since then I have had a strong interest in classic literature, beginning with Great Expectations

I read some other books before but never stuck with it. I was about 23 when I become an avid reader. So a bit of a late bloomer. The Hunger Games by Susan Collins was the book that pulled me in and kept me to reading.

Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone is the book that actually ignited my passion for reading. when i was young i have observed i loved books, those that has stories on them. I would spent time reading them over and over again. When i bought the first Harry Potter book, i couldn't put it down. I read it in a day and i wanted more after then.

Comic books, teen books. Achievable books. Once you read a few you feel empowered and begin loving to read.

I started reading Harry Potter in third grade and fell in love with the entire series! It opened up my mind to a whole new world that I will never be able to stray far from.

My mom started reading to me very early and one of those first books she read me was Charlotte's Web. I was probably 2 or 3 so I've been a book lover virtually my whole life!

Siddharta. I know, not really an easy book lol. I remember hating it in school because we were forced to read it. Now it's there on my shelf, one of the books I keep coming back to.
