Has to be The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood. I highly recommend.

The Divergent series was my favorite until the ending because it felt like the author gave up on the books. I do like how everyone was separated by what they were; smart, fearless, peaceful, etc. then they find out they were being controlled by a government program & were living in a giant testing ground to find a cure.
