Re: FOR STUDENTS! Do you still read around exam time?

I just graduated last month, and although I haven't had typical 'exams' in years (journalism major, so more articles and writing and stuff like that), I hated homework during in college in general because I never could read anything. I got so busy with all my assignments, even more than the exams, that I barely read anything. It was really sad. But I'm making up for it now by devouring everything!

I read all the time. I'm currently a sophomore in college taking 20 credits each semester so I have considerable work load but I always make sure I find time to read, even during exams. My friends always ask me how I manage but I tell them reading actually helps me stay focuses during the times I am studying. It's the perfect rest for my brain. During exams, sometimes you just need to relax and immerse yourself in another world for an hour or so.

I don't like to read around exam time, because I need to study during that time.

I don't usually read during the semester. I have started again recently, but it's mostly on the weekends or at night when I can't sleep. Mostly, I catch up on my reading during the summer and sometimes during the winter breaks.

Nope, I never read during an exam period because well, I'm the kind of reader who can get really absorbed into a good book...so absorbed that I can't concentrate on doing anything else except for reading. So it's dangerous for me to start any books when I have exams and need to focus on studying.

I keep reading, though at a lower intensity because I have to study or read some of my textbook, but usually im caught up enough or know the material well enough that my reading doesn't really suffer for it.

Reading novels helps me to relax around exam time. For me it's a stress reliever.

I would usually find myself attempting to read and then giving it up because of the insurmountable guilt of not reading a textbook.

Honestly when I have a lot of reading for school I find it very difficult to read. My mind gets overwhelmed and I can't manage to read for pleasure becaus my obtain is so tired.

I never, ever actually stop reading, you’ll see me with one book one day, and with another 2 days later. During tests, projects or a lot of pressure, I still read, though not as much. I read when I take breaks from studying and such, but it hardly lets me get lost into another world.
My weekend is all booked!

Actually, no. I'm generally so busy studying that I can't read, or only read a little  .
