Exactly, there is no need to insist on reading a boring book yet there are lots of interesting books to read out there

I usually go back and forth between putting it aside because it's boring to feeling like I want to finish something I started. It takes me a long time to finish the book but I eventually get there.

Sometimes I could find a book boring because of the mood I'm in, so at first I'll put it aside and then try it later. If the second time I still don't find it interesting, I'll probably not return to it.

I usually try to give it a fair shot by continuing with a few more chapters or maybe skipping and skimming ahead to see if it gets better, but if it feels like a draining excercise I will stop reading the book (even though it makes me feel a little guilty).

Even if a book isn't interesting, still I finish reading it. Leaving a book without finishing it do not satisfy me.
Also, while reading such book I expect that it gets interesting later.

I still have to finish the book if it is not interesting. My OCD will not let me put down a book in the middle and pick up a new one. What tends to happen is I will start watching more TV to avoid finishing the book, then get annoyed that I am still on that book.

I am one of those people who, if I decide to read a book, I read the whole thing. If it’s good or bad, I have to finish it. I can’t do something halfway. When I start something, I finish it.

I try to push through anyway because I always hold out hope that it will get better before the end.

Most times, I just abandon it. I read the ending first before doing that. Other times, I manage to finish reading.

I genuinely do not like starting a book and not completing it. Even with movies. I always try to push to the very end.

I genuinely try to finish all the books I start reading, but sometimes I just can't. If the book doesn't hold my attention I put it aside. There are plenty of other great books I still have to read
