Books that have made me cry? A Ring of Endless Light by Madeleine L'Engle, Room by Emma Donoghue, The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards, A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks, and I know there are many more, but the titles escape me right now.

I typically don't read genres that would make me want to cry. I feel my opinion is a bit skewed. Not saying there are books out there that would make me cry though.

My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Never fails to bring me to tears. Such a heartbreaking and touching novel.

I cry at a lot of things like films and books but some that stand out to me are The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and also A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. They are both amazingly written and incredibly sad.

It's very hard for me to cry. However, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and HP and the Deathly Hollows both made me tear up a little. Bridge to Terebithia, Where the Red Fern Grows, Of Mice and Men, and Tuck Everlasting all made me cry. Only slightly embarrassing when you consider I read them all in classes for school lol.

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. It's premise is that a boys mother has cancer and he has trouble dealing with it. My father passed away in 2013 from cancer when I was around the same age as the protagonist. I found that I felt similar emotions to him.

I too have read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows and I had to put it down at some points because my vision was way to blurry to see.

In spite of the fact that I've cried for almost every book I've read, i cant remember any other title apart from "The hunger games" and "Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix" (which was the only hard copy of the harry potter series i could get my hands on).

The latest would be "Because You'll Never Meet Me" by Leah Thomas. It's made up a series of letters between two boys isolated from the world around them due to mysterious biological anomalies that verge on superpowers. It's impossible not to cry at least a few times as you learn about their lives and incredible perspectives and see them comfort each other and help each other grow. Tears flowed freely and there was no shame.
