Currently, I am re-reading (or quite possibly reading for the first time, it seems) Taltos by Anne Rice. About the Mayfair witch clan. I never get tired of Anne Rice! She is just brilliant in her delivery. Her works just resonate with me for some reason. She is so descriptive and fluid. She is both light and dark. She loves her New Orleans but, she also loves the California coast. London is on her radar and a few other places but, Louisiana... that's her place.
Places are described beautifully, but so are the people. Mona Mayfair, Michael Curry. Mr. Ash. Gifford, Aaron Lightner. Oncle Julien! I can see them clearly. And the Taltos themselves. I love Anne. She is truly gifted.

I am reading The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen. I have read it before, but needed a refresher for a book club meet up. I learned a bit from it the first time and am looking forward to catching things I missed.

I'm currently reading an awesome book called "The Hazel Wood" and it's part fantasy, modern day fairy tale, and mystery. I'm absolutely loving it. I've been on a real YA fantasy binge recently.

I am currently reading My Trip to Adele I honestly did not believe that I was going to like a book based around Adele's music and concert but honestly the further I get into the more and more I actually do like it. I am glad that I choose to give this book a try.
