I'm reading a very steamy sex novel by Jackie Christian
called "Todd Brady--Football Star."

Trust me, if you want to LEARN something, this book will
teach you stuff.

You may never go to Heaven for reading it,

but this book will teach you something. lol!

Last night I read her book "The UPS Guy" (ladies get that one!)
and whenever I don't feel like "heavy, serious" books, find myself loving these smart little sex books. They are SMART now!
BlondeNicole you have me convinced! I added both books to my "want to read" shelf, thank you!

Right now I'm reading "Guardian of Deceit" and I'm having a tough time with it. The premise sounded awfully promising but I don't feel the author is delivering. It's very slow moving for me, and I'm about half way through but haven't felt a connection with any of the characters. There are many supporting characters which I felt could have been main characters. That aside, the author hasn't given enough insight into any of the characters to connect with them.
I'm hoping the book gets better so I don't want to quit reading it completely.

My question is this: has anyone else had this dilemma and how did you go about solving it? I just can't seem to "get into" the story. Usually books transport me, this one has not.

"The Last Girls" by Lee Smith
Not a genre I would typically read and I'm not sure if I will finish it.

I am currently reading And Then I Met Margaret by Rob White. It is so good I finished 1/2 of it in one day! This is the best #BOTD that I have read so far. When I finish, I will do a review on it. I am really looking forward to the remainder of the book!

When am I not reading! Right now a am reading Raven's Peak and so far it's pretty good. It has that supernatural element to it, so it's out there sometimes but it's good.

Has anyone read that highlander series by Lynsay Sands? I am currently on her An Argenau series and have loved every one them so much that I cannot put them down. I have begun picking up every highlander book that I have seen on the shelves so far, but it is always hit and miss. I have been impressed with her prowess as an author and am excited to start the new series soon.

I will start reading 'The Passage' by Justin Cronin later today. It's the first book of a trilogy about the Apocalypse and a Vampiric outbreak. Any fans of this trilogy out there.
