Book 8: Matilda by Roald Dahl. Good book to recommend to children, although with a little guidance. Matilda resolves all her problems magically without getting help from any reliable adult. Vision of adults throughout the book it's very black and white as well. Made me wonder what kind of adult figures had the author growing up. 4/5

I just read Kaylayla by Jeannie Nicholas. It was truly awful! So many spelling and grammar errors. Do not recommend. :lol2:

The last book I read was Summer of the Second Coming, and my rating was 2/5. I specifically did not feel well with the bible characters personalities. :|

Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett.
It was actually rereading it as it reminds me of the hopelessness nature of life, how we keep doing things at a particular time in a particular way which brings us closer to death. In addition, slowly religion that gave us hope is no more a source of hope for man has made it a source of evil- materialism, greed , immorality....we await the saviour patiently.

Book 9: The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte. A little long, but the feminist ideology of the period was very entertaining. Nowadays would seem outdated, I guess, but it was very revolutionary at the time. 4/5

Hi all! I recently finished reading IQ84 by Haruki Murakami, quite a long read since it was published in a trilogy. It is a love story of a couple transferred to a parallel universe of 1984, wherein things work differently in a sort of fantastical way. I would put in a genre of Surreal, Fantasy-Mystery, Romance. Great read as usual of his books.

Kalayla by Jeannie Nicholas 4/4 rating

It's a book telling a good story from all the character's perspectives. Even if you're questioning a certain character's motives you get to get inside their heads and see why they think or behave the way they do. A story told from all angles so I'd definitely recommend it.

Do web novels count? The last novel I finished, that wasn’t for this site, was Trash of a Count’s family. It was 100 out of 10 for me. Technically, it isn’t finished, but I have caught up to the translated chapters.

I read Unremembered Victory by Dennis H. Klein. It was 2/4 stars for me. A good historical novel - definitely would recommend for those who are interested in history. I wasn't a fan of the old song references though.
