I don't think there is any shame in letting your emotions show while reading. People laugh and cry while watching plays, movies, TV shows, etc. all the time, so why not while reading books? I'm not a huge crier either, but occasionally I will be so touched or saddened that I can't hold it in either.

I do get emotional during reading sometimes. Fortunately, I've laughed more than I've cried because of the story's impact. I know that the book is worth keeping if I experience laughter because I can return to it when I'm depressed.

Yes my emotions get a hold of me when I read. I experience all sorts of them...sadness, laughter, anger and a few others. I really get into reading my books.

If something is very well written, then yes, I may cry. But that doesn't happen very often.

The book has to be really sad for me to cry, but it happened a few times, not going to lie. And I laugh out loud quite often when reading, or simply get really excited.

My emotions taking over while reading? Dont they ever?
I usually read fiction. When I pick them I know it will take an emotional toll on me, depending upon the emotional quotient. I tend to get invested in them and yeah I am a human. A well written high on emotion book will get me there.

Absolutely. Especially sadness when a character I am invested in is killed or devastated. That is the mark of a great book when you become so invested that you start to cry.
